The Chargers took on the Dolphins that had to travel all the way across the country after playing on Monday night against the Colts (loss). Chargers knocked Pennington out of the game (shoulder injury). Miami didn’t run too many Wildcat plays but they did possess the ball for a long time. The Chargers’ offense sputtered in the Red Zone for the second week in a row. It doesn’t help that they have zero run game with LaDanian Tomlinson injured. Hopefully he will be back next week, so we have some sort of running game. It will be against the Steelers, so it will be challenge.
Phil Rivers played well once again and had 303 yards completing 18 of 33 attempts. The Chargers need to get better. I was not impressed with the victory, but I will admit that any victory in the NFL is an accomplishment. Speaking of that…The Detroit Lions got their first win today! And the Bengals beat the Steelers!!! Wow…what a game.
